Tag Heuer has gone ahead and announced its first smartwatch in collaboration with Intel and Google. The companies will work together to launch a “Swiss smartwatch powered by Intel technology and Android Wear.”

The luxurious smartwatch that will be developed by the collaboration of these three companies will seamlessly connect to the daily life of the wearer. It will be a “culmination of innovation, creativity and design from Silicon Valley in California and the Watch Valley in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland.”

“Swiss watchmaking and Silicon Valley is a marriage of technological innovation with watchmaking credibility. Our collaboration provides a rich host of synergies, forming a win-win partnership, and the potential for our three companies is enormous,” said Jean-Claude Biver.

Sadly, neither of the companies provided more details about the watch. However, a report from Reuters from earlier today claimed that the watch will be launched in summer and will look just like a traditional watch.
