The Sony Xperia Z3 is yet to go on sale but the handset’s system dump has already made its way to the Internet, which in turn has already allowed developers on XDA to port the system apps from the handset to other Xperia devices.

It has traditionally been very easy to get system apps from the latest Sony devices to work on its predecessor and other Xperia devices and the Xperia Z3 is no exception here.

All the system apps from the phone including the Dialler, Contacts, Launcher, Calendar, Messaging, Widgets, Camera and Walkman app have been ported to other Xperia devices running Android 4.4 KitKat. As always, your Xperia device must have root access and the ROM you are running — either stock or custom — should be de-odexed as well.

Installation is pretty simple and only requires you to flash a ZIP via the custom recovery. Make sure to flash the v1 of the ZIP followed by v3 as the latest version will not work on its own. The download links can be found in the source below.
