There’s still a few hours left for Samsung to unveil the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ but the company itself has ruined its party by making the launch video of the handset live ahead of time.

The Galaxy S9 had already leaked numerous times over the last month, but this leak comes straight from the horse’s mouth. The 3-minute video highlights every major feature of the Galaxy S9, though it seems to be primarily aimed at enterprise users as it highlights features mainly for professionals. The video gives us a look at the new DeX dock that Samsung will be launching alongside the handset. Additionally, the handset will launch with App Pair, a feature that Samsung first debuted with the Galaxy Note 8 last year.

Samsung also highlights the enhanced biometrics, IP68 certification, KNOX security, an improved iris scanner with intelligent scan, and more in the video. Despite carrying the tagline “The Phone. Reimagined.” the Galaxy S9 features the same design as the Galaxy S8. The only major change is the revamped camera setup at the rear which is now placed vertically. The fingerprint sensor has also been relocated to make it easier to reach.

The video also highlights some of the AR features of the Galaxy S9 which is going to be a big deal among flagship smartphones this year. The new camera app on the Galaxy S9 includes an AR mode that can identify objects for you while also being able to translate stuff on the go.

The video does not particularly reveal anything new about the Galaxy S9 that has not already leaked before. And its clear from the video that Samsung’s latest flagships are going to be all about offering a refined user experience and new AR features.

What do you think about the Galaxy S9 based on the leaked video? Are you disappointed that Samsung has kept the same design language as the S8?
