With all major flagship launches of this year done, all eyes are now set on Samsung’s 2019 flagship — the Galaxy S10. The device is expected to be unveiled in February at MWC 2019 before releasing to the public in March. Today, thanks to @evleaks, we now have more details about the S10.

As per the reliable leaker, the Galaxy S10 will come with a “punch hole” style display which will include a cutout for the front camera. This likely means the Galaxy S10 will feature an Infinity-O display wherein the display will have a small cutout for the selfie camera.

Samsung was not expected to join the notch bandwagon with the Galaxy S10. There were rumors of the device coming with an under-display front camera as well but that technology is still not ready for commercial use. So, Samsung is doing the next best thing by adding a small cutout for the front camera. Many other OEMs have also followed this approach by using a waterdrop notch on their devices like the OnePlus 6T.

As previous reports had claimed, the Galaxy S10 will come with an ultrasonic, in-display fingerprint scanner. This scanner will be faster and feature a large recognition area. Samsung will be solely relying on the in-display fingerprint scanner as it plans on ditching the iris scanner from its upcoming flagship.

Samsung will also be jumping on the triple-camera bandwagon with the Galaxy S10. The primary and telephoto sensor will be joined by a third wide-angle lens as seen on LG’s flagship V-series devices. Unsurprisingly, the device will be running on Android 9.0 Pie with Samsung’s new One UI on top of it. Samsung has already demoed its One UI and plans to bring it to the Galaxy S9, Galaxy Note 9, and its previous flagships with the Pie update.
