Samsung will be unveiling the Galaxy Note in late-August but that has not stopped the company from talking about it. During its earnings call earlier this week, a company’s executive talked about the Note 8 and what to expect from it.

The executive said that the Galaxy Note series, which first debuted in 2011, has always been about its multimedia features, large display, and S-Pen. With the Galaxy Note 8, the company will push the bar further in this regard as the device will feature even better multimedia functionalities.

“The Galaxy Note series, first launched in 2011, come with a range of multimedia features, including the large-size display, and S Pen, only available with the smartphone models,” said an executive from the firm during the conference call. “The Galaxy Note 8 will feature more advanced, richer multimedia functionalities,” he added.

The Galaxy Note 8 will be unveiled on August 23 in New York. Rumors surrounding the handset suggest it will feature a 6.3-inch QHD+ Infinity Display, a 3500mAh battery, dual-camera setup at the rear, 6GB RAM, and an Exynos 8895/Snapdragon 835 chipset.

Additionally, Samsung’s marketing chief, Lee Sang-hyun said that the company has already started producing 10nm based chips and will soon start producing 8nm chips from later this year. By the end of 2018, the company plans to fabricate 7nm chips based on EUV lithography.
