Samsung recently unpacked the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge, the company’s latest powerful flagship devices within the Galaxy S lineup.

There isn’t any doubt that Samsung’s focus on design with the latest devices is already paying off, though, and Samsung Electronics’s President, Shin Jong-kyun has essentially confirmed that a lot of people want to get their hands on the latest flagship from the manufacturer. According to a report published by BusinessKorea, the President has said that pre-orders for the next flagship are already “pouring in.”

After the unpacking, pre-orders for the Galaxy S6 are pouring in, and our clients’ response to the product is also very good. The products will be sold in more countries than before.

The report goes on to note that shares for the company rose quite a bit after the unveiling of the new flagships, and Jong-kyun believes that after the phones launch those prices will continue to rise based on the adoption rate. The Samsung President also notes that there’s still plenty of room for competition, for new devices, despite the fact that new competitors are entering the market pretty regularly:

Even though the competition in the global smartphone market is growing fiercer and new players are continuously emerging, the whole smartphone market grew 30 percent last year. The opportunities based on the high-end market are still endless.

Interestingly enough, there wasn’t any mention of the Galaxy S6 edge in the article.

Are you planning on picking up a Galaxy S6?
