Another day, another Nexus 5 rumor. This mysterious phone will be announced this month, that much is certain. And we all pretty much the specs at this point: 5.0 inch 1080p screen, Snapdragon 800, and 8 megapixel camera with optical image stabilization. What we don’t know is the price. According to the guys over at PhoneArena, the Nexus 5 will launch at the same price of the Nexus 4: $299. That will get you 16 GB of storage and a 2300 mAh battery.

Oddly enough, they say that the model with more storage, 32 GB to be exact, will also come with another feature: one giant 3000 mAh battery. As far as I can tell, this is the first time that a company has done such a thing, offer one phone in two configurations with different storage options and battery capacities. Yes, I’m fully aware that Motorola has “Maxx” versions of several of their products, but those are entirely different devices. This rumor says, to the best of my understanding, that both the 16 GB and 32 GB Nexus 5 will be indistinguishable externally.

Should you wait for a Nexus 5 or buy something that’s already out like the Moto X or Note 3 or Galaxy S4? I can only tell you what I’m personally going to do, and that’s wait. I played with the Note 3, and found that it didn’t light my fire. And as awesome as I think the Moto X is, the Developer Edition is sold out. Even if it wasn’t, I think it’s a tad overpriced at $650.
