The OnePlus One is undoubtedly one of the most popular smartphones right now, along with top flagships like the Samsung Galaxy S5 and the HTC One (M8). But the company doesn’t seem to be producing the smartphone in enough quantities, not as of now at least. According to a post on the OnePlus forum, the manufacturer only has about 100 units of the 16GB Silk White models ready at this point, and these will be provided to the contest winners of the unpopular Smash promotion.

From mid to late May, the company will start producing some more units of the smartphone to send it out to those with early invitations for the device. And it is only in June when the company can start producing the 64GB Sandstone Black model of the OnePlus One.

OnePlus believes that the company will be able to manufacture enough units and send out more invites by the end of June, which is another couple of months from now. So even though OnePlus One has managed to grab the attention now, it seems like most users might not be able to get their hands on it until June or July.

This is understandable considering that this is a new company and yields will be relatively low at the beginning. But we hope the company picks up its pace and caters to the demand across the globe in the coming months.
