Motorola today announced two new ultra-low budget handsets: the Moto C and Moto C Plus. The company is targeting the smartphones towards first-time smartphone users and has packed it with the bare essentials.
The Moto C features a micro-textured back cover and will be available in four different colors: Metallic Cherry, Pearl White, Fine Gold, and Starry Black. Featuring a quad-core processor, 4G connectivity, 8GB of storage, 1GB RAM, and a 5MP rear shooter, and a selfie shooter. It also comes with a 2350mAh battery. As for the Moto C Plus, it comes with a bigger 4000mAh battery, 1/2GB RAM, 16GB of storage, microSD card slot, an 8MP rear shooter, and a 2MP selfie shooter.
Surprisingly, despite their low-end specs, Moto has included a LED flash at the front of both handsets. Moto has not revealed the full specifications of both handsets and it’s clear why. These are out and out low-end Android smartphones packing the very bare minimum of specs and features as evident from the amount of RAM they pack and their other specifications.
The Moto C has been priced at €89, while the Moto C Plus starts at €119. The handset will be available in various countries across Latin America, Europe, and Asia Pacific starting this spring.
