After months of teasing, Motorola has finally unveiled its first Android Wear running smartwatch — the Moto 360.

The circular watch is a “classically-designed, modern timepiece” and will be available in black and silver colors with a matching user-replaceable leather band. 

The Moto 360 is quite different from other Android Wear running smartwatches out there and includes a 1.56-inch circular display with a resolution of 320 x 320. It also uses an OMAP 3 processor while its competition has been using a Snapdragon 400 processor. It also features IP67 rating, wireless charging, 512MB RAM and 4GB of internal storage. The flip side to the wireless charging is that you will have to carry the charger with you every time you go on a trip.

Other notable features of the Moto 360 include a 9-axis sensor, which can also act as a Pedometer, a heart rate monitor and an ambient light sensor — which will only work post a future software update.

While Motorola states that the 320mAh battery inside the watch will be enough to power it for a day, early reviews suggest that it struggles to last 12 hours on a single charge, which is a bummer.

The Moto 360 will be available for purchase in the United States via Google Play and Best Buy for $249 from today itself.
