LG G6 review photo

The LG G6 is a phone with a big, beautiful display. It’s an LCD panel, though, so for folks who have been wanting the Life’s Good crew to switch to OLED (to match Samsung’s own display prowess), the wait has been a long one.

But it may be coming to an end. The Investor reports that LG is planning on switching to OLED panels for its smartphones, and the switch will first arrive with the company’s upcoming flagship V30 smartphone. The handset is said to arrive in the third quarter of this year, but otherwise no other details were provided.

If you aren’t a fan of the V-series from LG, be aware that if LG is happy with the OLED rollout for the rumored V30, then the company could bring OLED panels to the next flagship in its G series, presumably the LG G7, next year.

Is it about time for LG to switch to OLED panels?
