After LG officially released the G2 last year, all eyes were on the company to see what they would come up with next. The question on everyone’s mind was whether or not the company could muster up a successor worth looking at in 2014. According to a new report, it looks like LG has plenty to be excited about.

On June 5, it was was reported that LG had managed to sell 100,000 G3s in South Korea in its first five days of availability, so it looked like the manufacturer was certainly off to a good start. For those out there who had been wondering if the device’s specs and media attention would keep its sales numbers climbing, it looks like the answer has arrived in a big way. According to a report from the Korea Herald, LG has sold 250,000 units in the 25 days since the handset’s launch. As a reference point, the mobile carriers in the region have stated that this is 2 times faster than the G2.

As one can imagine, this gives LG plenty to look forward to as the device is prepared for an international roll-out, which is set to start this week. With an impressive specifications list, including a 5.5-inch QHD display, the G3 is certainly a powerhouse device with a very distinct physical design. While not made of metal, the G3 has a plastic shell that emulates a brushed metal design, and boasts very thin bezels along the front, making it very distinct.

Are you looking forward to the G3, and do you plan on buying one (or have you already)?
