Huawei might have been the subject of a lot of negative press thanks to the U.S. ban but its smartphone business has been flourishing. The company has announced that it has managed to ship 10 million units of the P30 series in just 85 days since its launch.

That’s over 2 months faster than the P20 series and even faster than the Mate 20 series launched last year. Huawei also managed to ship 100 million smartphones in 2019 at the end of May, which is again notably faster when compared to last year. Additionally, the P30 Pro won the “Best Smartphone” award from the European Hardware Association.

The Huawei P30 Pro and the regular P30 are definitely impressive smartphones so it is not surprising to see them do so well. However, the U.S. ban on Huawei is going to have a massive impact on the Chinese company’s smartphone business and bring its staggering growth to a halt.

Without access to major U.S. suppliers, it is unclear how Huawei plans on launching its future smartphones and what components it will use inside them. The company did create a stockpile of chips in anticipation of the U.S. ban, but given the pace its smartphones have been selling at, it is likely to exhaust that stock within the next few months.

Do you own a Huawei P30 series smartphone? If so, how has your experience been using it? What are your thoughts on the phone after the U.S. ban?
