Huawei today announced that it has managed to ship over 10 million units of its Mate 20 series internationally. The company took less than 5 months to reach this figure after first announcing the devices.

The Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro were the first Android devices to hit the market featuring a 7nm processor, a triple-camera setup which included an ultra-wide angle shooter, and more. The Mate 20 Pro, in particular, has won praises from the mainstream media for its performance, stellar camera, outstanding battery life and charging times, and more. While Huawei has not provided any breakdown, the cheaper Mate 20 likely did better than the Mate 20 Pro in terms of sales due to its lower price tag and the higher value for money ratio.

Given how big Huawei is in China, the company has likely sold more units of the Mate 20 series in its home country. In the international market itself, selling 10 million units of the Mate 20 series is no easy feat since Huawei does not sell smartphones in the United States, one of the biggest smartphone markets in the world.

The impressive performance of the Mate 20 series comes after Huawei’s P20 series did exceedingly well in Europe and became its best selling flagship within weeks of its launch.

Huawei is all set to unveil its P30 series in Paris later this month. The phones are expected to raise the bar higher in the imaging department once again and do well in Europe.
