Along with a couple of MediaPad tablets, Huawei also announced a mid-range smartphone with LTE Cat4 support — the Ascend G6 — and its first ever smartband, the TalkBand B1. The G6 shares similar design cues from its higher-end sibling, the P6, inside a smaller body with more modest specs.
The 4.5-inch display on the handset sports qHD (960 x 640) resolution and features a 1.2GHz quad-core processor.

Huawei will also be releasing a slightly thicker (7.85mm) 4G version of the G6 in April this year, with the 3G version available sooner, sometime in Q1.
The company’s first smartband — the TalkBand B1 — is more of a competitor to FitBit Force than Galaxy Gear or Pebble that can also receive phone calls thanks to a detachable earpiece. It has a 1.4-inch curved monochrome OLED display and features an impressive battery life of up to 7 hours of talk-time and 2 weeks of standby time.
The band is IP57 certified which makes it water and dust-resistant and comes with NFC and Bluetooth 4.1 for easy pairing with Android devices. Huawei plans on adding compatibility with the iPhone and Windows Phone running devices down the line. The flexible strap on the B1 itself acts as a USB connector that makes charging the device an easy affair.
Huawei plans on launching the TalkBand B1 sometime later this year in six different colors for only 99 Euros.
