Earlier this week, when HTC launched the 10, it silently also launched a Lifestyle version of the handset in India with a slower Snapdragon 652 processor and 3GB RAM. This infuriated many loyal fanboys of the company in the country, as to why the Taiwanese OEM was not bringing its impressive flagship to India, and instead launching a watered down version here.

Thankfully, all the negative feedback that the company has received from its fans and potential customers over the last few days seems to have worked, as the HTC South Asia President Mr. Faisal Siddiqui, has confirmed in an emailed statement to TechPP that HTC will indeed be launching the Snapdragon 820 variant of the 10 in India.

We are pleased to announce that global flagship HTC 10 is coming soon to India. Stay tuned for the announcement and the availability date.

The email from Siddiqui does not reveal the expected launch timeframe of the handset, though if HTC wants to change its fortunes, it should launch the 10 within the next few weeks in India.

Sources of TechPP also claim that HTC will launch the ‘Lifestyle’ variant of the 10 in India as well. Except for the slower processor (Snapdragon 652) and 3GB RAM (vs. 4GB on the 10), the Lifestyle packs the exact same specs as HTC’s flagship 10. This includes a 5.2-inch Quad HD display, a fingerprint scanner, a 12MP f/1.8 rear shooter with OIS, a 5MP selfie shooter with OIS and f/1.8 lens, and a 3,000mAh battery.
