In previous versions of TouchWiz, Samsung allowed users to control the backlit timeout of the capacitive keys on its devices. On the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge though, this feature is strangely missing.

While not really a deal breaker, the backlight from the capacitive keys might irritate some users especially when they are operating their phone in the dark.

Thankfully, an application called Galaxy Button Lights allows S6 and S6 edge owners to control how long the backlight of the capacitive keys will remain on. The minimum time limit is 1 second with the maximum being 10 seconds.

The app also provides users with an option to completely switch off the backlight or keep it permanently on while the screen is on, if they wish to.

The best part about Galaxy Button Lights is that it does not require root access to work, which means that millions of Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge owners can use it right away without any second thoughts.
