Despite the fact that Android 6.0 Marshmallow is now available on some Nexus-branded devices, Android 5.0 Lollipop is still gaining ground amongst the ranks.

In the latest distribution numbers of Android, which is typically released by Google every month, we can clearly see that Android Lollipop is still getting adopted at a pretty quick pace, now almost on one-fourth of all devices. As usual, these numbers are put together from the Android devices that access the Google Play Store’s app during a 7-day period that ended on October 5.

As far as the numbers go, Android 5.0/5.1 Lollipop showcased a 23.5 percentage, which is up from the 21% it held in September. Breaking it down a bit, Android 5.1 is now registering on 7.9% of devices, while Android 5.0 is currently on 15.6%.

Moving through the variants, Android 4.4 KitKat was on a total of 38.9 percent of devices, which is another decline in a month’s stats (down from 39.2 percent in September). Android 4.1 Jelly Bean registered on 11.4%, Android 4.2 on 14.5%, and Android 4.3 on 4.3% of devices, which totals out to 30.2 percent.

It’s going at a steady pace, which is good news for Android Lollipop.
