On Wednesday, May 13, Google officially updated its Fit app to better help those that set their own fitness goals.

The update, which should be available now to download or update on apps already installed, adds a pair of noteworthy new features: An ability to estimate calories burned, as well as track distance traveled. What’s more, the app will now let users take a look at their fitness history, to track any details that they might want to keep an eye on:

Also, you’ll now have a new way to look back over your fitness history. As you scroll down your timeline you’ll be able to look at your activities grouped by days, weeks or months and get a sense of how your activities impact your fitness over time.

There’s a brand new widget to place on Android home screens as well. For those using Android Wear, there’s also a brand new Fit watch face that will let users see their progress with just a glance.
