According to a new “insider report”, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will break cover on the 3rd of September, following in the footsteps of its predecessors which have always seen a September launch.

The company will reportedly start sending out invites for this event in August, so that customers are well prepared for what’s to come in the following month. This news isn’t really surprising as it has been expected all along, but it’s good to get some confirmation of it from a familiar Samsung source.

The insider cited by Android Geeks also claims that the smartphone will not be unveiled at the IFA event but rather a couple of days prior to that at a standalone Samsung event. The Galaxy Note series is the second of the two flagships that the manufacturer announces every year, so there will be plenty of excitement building up to the event.

As for the features of the smartphone, there have been rumors which indicated that it will sport a 5.7 inch display with no increase in size expected. It has also been said that Samsung might utilize the flexible display panel if it gets the supply issue in order.

The phablet could also feature a Snapdragon 805 or the Exynos 5420 chip with LTE, 3GB of RAM, water and dust resistance, and the latest version of Android which should be Android 4.4.3 at the time.
