ASUS already has the ZenFone 4 Max in Russia, but it looks like the company has decided to announce a new variant next month.

ASUS has sent out invitations for an event taking place on August 19 in the Philippines. There, the company will be unveiling the ZenFone 4, which, at this point, remains a mystery as to what will be unveiled. The ZenFone 4 Max, which launched earlier this year, may be the easiest thing to suggest might see the light of day again, with a few changes to the mix, but it’s also possible the ZenFone 4 is just a variant of the Max with similar specs and a different name.

As for the invite itself, the name of the phone is clearly emblazoned at the bottom, so ASUS isn’t making it a secret or anything. The ASUS ZenFone 4 will also apparently feature a pair of cameras on the back, which the invite also blatantly teases. That isn’t too surprising, though, considering the ZenFone 4 Max also features two cameras on the back.

As for any other features, the ZenFone 4 Max has a 5000mAh battery, and there’s a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor under the hood, so it’s possible we see those similar elements make it to the ZenFone 4. Then again, with the Max name being dropped, it’s possible the battery gets a decrease in this new model. AS for when it will arrive, how much it will cost, and where it will be available? We’ll hopefully learn some, if not most, of those things on August 19.
