Asus Unveils a Trio of ZenFone 3 Phones with Premium Build Quality

Asus today launched a trio of new ZenFone 3 phones to cater to different price point and varying customers taste. Unlike previous years, the three different ZenFone 3 handsets also feature different designs and are made from different materials.

The plain jane ZenFone 3 features a metallic chassis that is sandwiched between the front and rear glass panels. The 5.5-inch LCD display on the handset sports a Full HD resolution and is protected by Corning’s 2.5D Gorilla Glass, with an 8MP selfie shooter residing at its top. There is also a fingerprint scanner located at the rear, which sits just below the 16MP primary shooter that features OIS, EIS, and LaserAF.

Inside the ZenFone 3 is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 625 chipset, 4GB RAM, and up to 64GB of storage space. Lastly, the handset packs 3,000mAh battery and a USB Type-C port.

Asus ZenFone series

The ZenFone 3 Deluxe is the most powerful of the three handsets announced by the Taiwanese company today. It features an aluminium unibody design with invisible antenna lines. The front of the handset is dominated by a 5.7-inch 1080p AMOLED display, while the inside features a Snapdragon 820 chipset, 23MP camera, up to 64GB storage space and 6GB RAM. The handset will be available in gray, silver, and gold color options.

Lastly, there is the ZenFone 3 Ultra with its gigantic 6.8-inch Full HD LCD display. Inside the handset is a Snapdragon 652 chipset, up to 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage space. Other notable specs include an 8MP front shooter, USB Type-C 3.0 with DisplayPort support, and a 4,600mAh battery.

Both, ZenFone 3 Ultra and Deluxe feature a 23MP Sony IMX318 sensor with OIS, EIS, and LaserAF. They also pack in a fingerprint sensor and Quick Charge 3.0 support.

The ZenFone 3 has been priced at $249, with the ZenFone 3 Ultra and Deluxe priced at $479 and $499, respectively.
