Motorola is all set to unveil the Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus at MWC in Barcelona, Spain next month. While we have already heard and seen quite a bit about the Moto G5 Plus, not much is known about its smaller sibling. That changes today though as the key specs of the Moto G5 have now been leaked.

The leak points to the Moto G5 coming with a 5-inch Full HD display, an octa-core Snapdragon 430 chipset with an Adreno 505 GPU, 2GB RAM, 32GB storage with microSD card slot, and a 3000mAh battery. The handset will also come with fast charging, with Motorola/Lenovo bundling a 14W fast charger with the handset. Going by the specs, it looks like Motorola will differentiate between the Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus based on their specs, screen size, and camera performance, unlike what it did with the Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus last year.

While the specs of the Moto G5 might not seem impressive and that big of an upgrade over the Moto G4, the handset will likely come with a metal unibody design with some degree of water resistance. And the device will also run on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box which comes with plenty of new features to play around with, including multi-window multitasking and a redesigned notification shade.

Looking at its specs and expected price point fo $199 (~12k INR), the Moto G5 is going to compete against the likes of the Redmi Note 4 and Lenovo K6 Note in India. Are you looking forward to Motorola announcing the Moto G5?
