Acer might not have been met with tremendous success with their Android devices but that has not stopped the company from releasing more handsets. Today, it announced two new mid-range handsets — the Liquid E3 and Liquid Z4 — with some impressive mid-range specs.
The Liquid E3 is the higher-end handset with a 4.7-inch 720p HD IPS display, a quad-core processor and 1GB of RAM. There is also a 13MP camera in the back with an LED flash and a 2MP shooter in the front. It will also come with some nifty software features including SnapNote for presenting projects and AcerFloat that allows users to have multiple apps open at the same time.
The Liquid Z4 is a scaled down version of the E3 and comes with a 4-inch IPS display, 1GB of RAM, front-facing VGA camera and a 5MP rear shooter. Other specs of both handsets include the usual bunch of sensors and radios like NFC, GPS and an accelerometer.
The handsets will go on sale in April this year and run Android 4.2.2 KitKat out-of-the-box. Acer, however, promises to update the devices to Android 4.4 KitKat by Q2 of this year. The Liquid E3 is expected to retail for €199 while the Liquid Z4 will set you back by only €99.
