Android Wear watch faces have started to flood the Play Store. Every day, there seems to be a new face for your G Watch, Gear Live, or Moto 360. Some are elegant, others are retro, some are geeky, others are minimalistic. Basically, there’s something for everyone there. In this post, however, I will focus on 6 of the most beautiful watch faces available for Android Wear at this time.
Disclaimer: Since Google has yet to release an official API for watch faces, most of these are hacked together by developers at this point. The implementation is OK for most things, but you may run into battery-drainage issues, and you will see that they only allow for the big notification card instead of the small one.

It supports both square and round watches, has a dimmed mode for every face, and allows you to customize the background color, picture, and text color of all faces.

12Hours Wear is a smartly designed watch face with hourly segments that can be highlighted in white depending on your calendar. It makes it incredibly easy to look at the time and know when you will be busy and when you’ll be free. Plus, it looks gorgeous.

Elegant Face
There are very few bells and whistles in Elegant Face, but sometimes, the simplest things are the best. It is a very classic yet very elegant face, only adapted for square watches now, but it also vibrates every hour to remind you of your life passing by. Dark and twisted, but useful.

Convergence Watch Face
Convergence is a quirky and fun watch face for Android Wear, but don’t let that fool you into thinking it looks any bad because of it. Quite the contrary. It is beautiful, simple, with animated circles that follow the accelerometer as you move your wrist, a black power-saving mode, and a customizable set of color palettes.

Squares has the traditional look of a wrist-worn timepiece. It includes a Classic Mode with a border and a Clean Mode that removes it. The app currently only works on square watches, but Moto 360 support is said to be coming soon.
