Android device updates: Android 7.1.1 brings a batch of goodies to ‘s xel Nexus

It’s hard to declare a smartphone perfect, but the xel is starting to feel pretty darn close with the latest update pushed out this week. th Android 7.1.1, you get a nice lift-to-wake screen knock feature that vastly improves the convenience.

ong with those updates, both xel Nexus devices get a number of bug fixes that should bring you an even smoother experience.

Verizon

Droid Turbo: It’s truly better late than never for Marshmallow. A Verizon update brings features that a lot of other phones have had for a while, but you do get the latest tools in Moto Display. This offers a tap to wake feature attempts to streamline notifications for easier access.

T-Mobile

on: This phone probably didn’t sell a ton, but support for all devices in a company’s lineup is always welcome. T-Mobile says you’ll get Android 6.0.1 the December security patch.
