Report: Now may get business-friendly in partnership with H”‘s virtual assistant may don corporate attire

Hmay tap into ‘s search power to create a better virtual office assistant.

According to The Information, the two companies are in talks to use Now, the company’s context-based search tool, for accessing company data. 

For example, employees could consult their Android device for product inventory or financial data. 

Currently, Now is designed as a consumer-friendly tool, tapping into your content database to bring forth restaurant suggestions notify you about airport gate changes hotel check-in information. 

The Now uncher also works on Android devices running 4.1 or higher, placing the program just one swipe away from the home screen. The company continues to bring in more features content into Now, recently adding cards for train bus reminders stores in Gmail.

The report does not indicate if the auto-suggest style of Now would remain the same, though it could be useful for reminding employees about conference calls or upcoming project deadlines. 

is likely looking to build this partnership as a way to keep pace with Apple, which is developing a stronger h in enterprise. It recently announced a partnership with one-time rival IBM to develop iOS apps built specifically for corporate use. 

Microsoft remains another key competitor, pushing ndows, Surface, now a strong presence on iOS with Office OneDrive apps for the id.
