Axon 7

Earlier this year, ZTE officially announced the Axon 7, its latest high-end smartphone. However, at the time, launch details were thin.

That has finally changed, as the company has officially announced the Axon 7 is now available to pre-order in the United States from its official website, as well as retailers Amazon, Best Buy, B&H Photo Video, and Newegg. The Axon 7 only costs $399.98, which marks it yet another high-end flagship with a remarkably cheap price tag when compared to the bigger name brands’ competition.

As far as specs go, the Axon 7 features a 5.5-inch Quad HD display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, and 4GB of RAM. It also offers 64GB of built-in storage, along with a microSD card slot for expandable storage. The battery is measured in at 3140mAh with QuickCharge 3.0 support, and there’s a fingerprint reader on the back, below the 20MP camera. On the front there’s an 8MP front-facing camera.

The Axon 7 is running Android 6.0.1 right out of the box, underneath ZTE’s proprietary MiFavor 4.0 user interface.

The Ion Gold variant of the Axon 7 begins shipping on July 27, while the Quarts Gray option will begin shipping on August 17.
