ZTE-owned Nubia has launched a gorgeous new device called the Z11. This high end offering from ZTE is a ‘borderless’ device that has a starting price of $375.

The screen of the Nubia Z11 has been touted as being edge-to-edge, however, this is only partially true. The device does not feature a curve screen, like that on the Galaxy S7, but the screen does seemingly run from one edge to the other. What this means is that the device does essentially have the traditional aluminium unibody traditionally seen on smartphones, nonetheless, the slight ‘curve’ on the 2.5D Gorilla Glass 3 does capture the essence of a borderless effect.

The Nubia Z11 has been launched in two versions, with both sharing the same 5.5″ Full HD LCD panel and a Snapdragon 820 (quad-core, 2.15GHz) SoC. The standard version will come with 4GB of RAM and 64GB on board storage space, while the premium version features 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage. Both versions of the Nubia Z11 have an expandable memory card slot for additional storage space and also feature a rear finger print scanner.

Both the devices share the same camera setup with the rear camera featuring a 16MP sensor with OIS, phase detection autofocus, and a dual-tone LED flash. The selfie camera features an aperture of f2.4 with an 8MP sensor. The Nubia Z11 features a Quick Charge 3.0 via a USB Type-C connector that juices up a 3000mAh battery. The devices run Nubia UI 4.0 based on Android 6.0.

The regular, 4GB/64GB version of the ZTE Nubia Z11 will retail for 2499 Yuan (US $375), while the premium 6GB/128GB offering will retail for 3499 Yuan (US $525). The premium Z11 retails in a gold color only, while the regular version is available in gold, silver or gray. These domestic prices of the Nubia Z11 only represent a tentative price, as the retail price in international markets is expected to be higher.
