New leaked screenshots show Samsung’s updated S Health app with a flatter user interface. The new images surfaced on the web thanks to mobile site, Sammobile. Judging from the captured photos, the fitness application’s primary features hasn’t changed.

Samsung ‘Unpacked 5′ event on February 24; hints at Galaxy S5 announcement

Are you eagerly waiting for Samsung to unveil the next generation Galaxy S smartphone, popularly dubbed Galaxy S5? We’ve some good news. Samsung has just started sending out invites for its Unpacked event on February 24th at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

LG G Pro 2 will have 13-megapixel camera with ‘OIS Plus’, 4K video recording

LG has been pretty forthcoming about the G Pro 2, recently confirming that the device would be unveiled at Mobile World Congress later this month. Now, the Korean manufacturer has divulged some details on the camera technology included on its upcoming phablet flagship, and for the shutterbugs out there, it looks like the G Pro 2 could be the next best thing to look out for.

Samsung Galaxy Note Pro and Tab Pro ready for preorder, ships out February 13

Samsung today announced that the Galaxy Note Pro and Tab Pro 12.2, 10.1 and 8.4 are available for preorder, and will ship out in the United States on February 13. Both tablets will be offered at slew of retailers throughout the country.

Android Platform Distribution Numbers Updated: KitKat at 1.8%; Jelly Bean at 60.7%
It’s that time of the month again, Google has updated Android’s platform distribution numbers earlier today. The latest numbers reveal that the adoption rate of Android 4.4.x KitKat, which was released more than two months back is still below 2% at 1.8%, compared to 1.4% last month. So the rollout of the KitKat update by carriers and device manufacturers continues to be slow.


NYT: Samsung Galaxy S5 will not feature a Quad HD display & Iris scanner

If it was not already obvious, New York Times has confirmed that Samsung will be unveiling the Galaxy S5 at its upcoming event on February 24th. Samsung had sent out press invites for its ‘Unpacked 5′ event at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona just a day ago.

LG G Pro 2 rumored to carry ultra slim 0.4mm bezel

The LG G Pro 2 will feature an ultra slim bezel that would make the face of the device look like it’s all display, according to a new report. It’s expected to be the successor to the Optimus G Pro currently out on the market.

HTC confirms it will release its first wearable later this year

Back in October last year, Bloomberg reported that HTC is working on a smartwatch with a camera that the company plans on releasing sometime in the second half of 2014. Now, HTC Chairwoman — Cher Wang — has confirmed to Bloomberg that the company is planning on releasing its first wearable device by the holiday shopping season this year.

Motorola schedules February 25th event at MWC, will talk ‘business updates’

Not deterred by the impending switch of its ownership from Google to Lenovo, Motorola has scheduled a press event for Mobile World Congress on February 25th, with the invite simply saying “You Are Invited.” That’s one day after Samsung will unveil its next flagship at its Unpacked 5 event, but according to Pocket-Lint, Motorola won’t be making any major announcements.


Report: ASUS and Google working on Nexus 8 for April launch

Before Google made the LG G Pad 8.3 available as a Google Play edition device, there were rumors that the search giant was working on an 8-inch Nexus tablet, with an unknown tablet’s appearance in a Nexus ad fueling speculation on its existence. That was in November, and after two months of silence on the matter, a report is now suggesting that the Nexus 8 could arrive in April.

Rumors and leaks have indicated that the launch of the HTC M8 might be accompanied with the mini-version of the handset – the M8 mini. With Mini and Compact handsets being all the rage right now, this move from HTC definitely makes sense.
