Being a geek is an expensive hobby, with new devices being released frequently and more interesting accessories being made available for them. That’s why as a reader of AndroidBeat, I’m sure you like a good bargain as much as I do, especially when it’s on gadgets.

Beside BestBuy dropping the price of the Galaxy Gear to $150, many interesting discounts are happening over on Amazon and Tanga.

Starting with Amazon, the retailer is celebrating Presidents Day in the United States by discounting hundreds of items in its Electronics section including Kindle tablets and some cool accessories:

  • The Kindle Fire HDX 7″ is down $30 across the board, with the 16GB version going for $199 instead of $229.
  • The Kindle Fire HDX 8.9″ is down $40 in all its configurations. For example, the 16GB version has gone from $379 to $339.
  • The Anker Astro Slim 3 6000mAh is almost half-price at $38 instead of $70. I highly recommend this portable battery charger. I have the first generation one and it is immensely convenient to use thanks to the built-in microUSB cable. It can charge any Android phone I happen to have, and I get asked about its price and retailer 2 or 3 times every week on average.
  • The iWerkz Universal Foldable Bluetooth Keyboard is down from $80 to $30. This keyboard is well reviewed and comes with a case that doubles as a stand for the phone or tablet while you are typing.
  • The iLuv MobiTour Wireless Bluetooth Speaker is down to $25 from $60 in its black color. Other options are available for varying prices.
  • The POWER A MOGA Pro Power is being discounted for the first time to $58 from an original price of $80. Despite its ridiculous name, this controller is superbly executed, unrivaled and it should make long gaming sessions enjoyable without any hand cramps.

As for Tanga, their one interesting deal is on the wireless charging back cover for the Samsung Galaxy S4 which is discounted to $10 from an original price of $40. Expect to add about $5 in shipping though.
