Just a day after some screenshots of Android 5.0 on the Galaxy Note 4 made their way to the Internet, the folks over at SamMobile have published a video showing the firmware in action on Samsung’s latest phablet.

The video provides a walkthrough of the re-designed system apps from Samsung, which have all been given a heavy dose of Material Design. The Settings menu, which has always been messed up in high-end Samsung devices, still retains its tabbed interface, though it looks much sleeker now thanks to Material Design. Most system apps now also have a white background, which the company has usually avoided as it leads to an increase in power consumption for its AMOLED displays.

The video also shows the new translucent notification bar, with the top half of it still being occupied by various toggles and shortcuts from Samsung. The rumored Themes app from Samsung, which popped up in some leaked images last month, is missing from this firmware.

Initial Lollipop based firmware with TouchWiz for the Galaxy S5 and Galaxy S4 have already been demoed on the video before, with an Android 5.0 firmware for the Sprint’s variant of the Galaxy S5 making its way to the Internet last week as well.

Samsung has not yet announced a specific timeframe on when it plans to update the Galaxy S5, Galaxy Note 4 and other devices to Android 5.0. However, rumors indicate that the initial roll out of Lollipop for the Galaxy S5 is slated to begin from December this year.
