In mid-June, Sony officially announced the Xperia Z4v along with Verizon Wireless in the United States, confirming that the Big Red carrier would launch the device sometime this year.

While a launch date wasn’t provided at the time, its inevitable arrival seemed like to be soon, as Sony did say “this summer.” Now, Sony has confirmed that the Xperia Z4v will launch on Verizon beginning August 13, which is a Thursday.

As for the specs, the Xperia Z4v will come with a 5.2-inch Triluminous display with Quad HD (2560 x 1440) resolution, a Snapdragon 810 chipset under the hood, 3GB RAM, 32GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, a 20.7MP 25mm wide-angle rear camera that is capable of reaching ISO levels of up to 12,800 and a 5MP front-facing selfie shooter.

It’s certainly a high-end flagship device, but unfortunately the pricing for the upcoming handset hasn’t been revealed just yet. With just over a month to go before the phone’s available to buy, there is still plenty of time to announce the final details.

What do you think of the Xperia Z4v? Would you consider it as your next daily driver?
