We have already heard from certain sources that the Galaxy S7 edge will feature a beefy 3,600mAh battery. Now, confirming this for the final time is FCC, whose documentation reveals that the Galaxy S7 edge will indeed come with a gigantic 3,600mAh battery.

Compared to the Galaxy S6 edge, that is an increase of 1,000mAh, which should ensure that the S7 edge lasts a day irrespective of how hard you push it.

The increased screen size of the Galaxy S7 edge — 5.5-inch — is likely going to offset some of the gain from the increased battery capacity, but despite that, a 3,600mAh battery is going to be more than enough to power the Galaxy S7 edge through a day of heavy usage or likely two days of moderate use.

While the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge are not going to come with removable batteries, their increased battery capacity is going to ensure that they have decent battery life, which should likely be enough for majority of its users.
