The Kindle Fire, which is technically an Android device, though not in the purest sense, is about to get to get a major facelift according to BGR. Their sources say Amazon is going to launch two new models, a 7.0 inch and an 8.9 inch, that both use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800 processor. Not only that, but the 7.0 inch model has the same resolution as the new Nexus 7, while the 8.9 inch model has the same resolution as the Nexus 10.

When will they come out? What will they cost? “Fall” and “late September” were terms that were thrown around, but no price was given. Knowing Amazon, these puppies are going to be sold at cost.

Do you own a Kindle? Have you ever even wanted one?
