In a (yet another) AMA (Ask Me Anything) on Reddit, Carl and David from the OnePlus team revealed that the successor to the OnePlus One — the OnePlus Two — is scheduled to arrive in Q2 or Q3 of next year.

While the OnePlus One is easily the most controversial smartphone released this year, there is no denying the fact that it is also an impressive piece of technology especially for its price. With the OnePlus team learning from its mistake and now better prepared to tackle the demand, the OnePlus Two might turn out to one of the most impressive handset to be released next year that you can actually purchase.

Another interesting tidbit from the AMA is that OnePlus is paying attention to user’s demand for a smaller form factor phone and “have been thinking about it.”

OnePlus had already revealed that they have severely miscalculated the demand for the phone, which led to a scarcity of invites initially. In this AMA, they further revealed that they had underestimated the demand for the One by a whopping 30x and they are still playing catch-up to it.

As for a pre-order system for the One, OnePlus said that it should go live sometime in late October.

For existing OnePlus One owners, the good news is that the next OTA update for the device is in the final stages of testing and should be releasing anytime now. This update should fix the dreaded multi-touch bug and a plethora of other bugs affecting the handset right now.

The company is also working hard on bringing voice wake-up feature to their device, which was promised by them even before’s the One was officially unveiled.
