OnePlus today announced that all the legal proceedings between the company, Micromax and Cyanogen Inc. have been resolved through mutual consent, and that the OnePlus One will continue to receive future Cyanogen OS updates in India.

Soon after OnePlus announced the launch of the One in India, the company was hit by a suit from Micromax. The latter had an exclusive deal with Cyanogen Inc. that prevented any other company from using the Cyanogen brand in India. This led OnePlus and Cyanogen Inc. to initially announce that all the units of One sold in India will not receive any software updates for the latter, and even forced OnePlus to develop its in-house ROM.

Micromax/Yu was also successful in getting the OnePlus One to be banned for sale in India, though that decision was soon overturned by the Delhi High Court. Eventually though, despite their differences, Cyanogen Inc. announced that it will be updating the OnePlus One in India to Cyanogen OS 12.

Now though, all the three companies seem to have resolved all their issues for the benefit of OnePlus One owners in India, which is always a good thing. Cyanogen Inc, and OnePlus, however, have parted ways and will not work again together.
