For fans of Motorola hardware, a new tablet may be heading down the pipe which adds at least one noteworthy new feature to the mix.

Android Police reports that Motorola is currently hard at work on a new tablet, but the details of the device are few and far between at this point. The publication is not able to provide any details regarding the exact specifications of the upcoming device, but they do believe that it will have a “premium look and feel,” and that the display could measure in between nine and ten inches.

Moreover, there’s a possibility that at least one model has cellular connectivity as well.

The main part of the report, however, is focused on a new feature that will reportedly be baked into the tablet. It’s called “productivity mode,” and it can be switched on and off. When it is activated, users will be able to launch apps and pin their app icons into the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen.

Users will be able to tap on an icon and switch to that app, presumably running in the background, immediately. To close an app, users will need to long-press on an app icon and slide it up and out of the navigation bar.

If it’s real, then it would certainly be an interesting way to handle multitasking.

What do you think of the idea?
