In addition to the Le 2, LeEco also launched the Le Max 2 in India. Like its smaller and cheaper sibling, the Le Max 2 features a Snapdragon chipset, instead of a MediaTek chipset hat is found inside its Chinese variant.

The handset comes with a 5.7-inch Quad HD IPS display, a unibody metal design with a fingerprint sensor located at the rear. The handset is powered by Qualcomm’s latest and greatest Snapdragon 820 chipset clocked at 2.15GHz and an Adreno 530 GPU. The handset will be available in India in two RAM/storage variants: 4GB/32GB and 6GB/64GB.

The 7.9mm handset sports dual-SIM connectivity, VoLTE support, Wi-Fi b/g/n/ac with MIMO, Bluetooth 4.2, and a USB Type-C connector. Like the Le 2, the Le Max 2 lacks a 3.5mm audio jack with the Type-C port being used to route audio. There is a 3100mAh battery inside the handset with Quick Charge 3.0 support.

The Le Max 2 sports a 21MP shooter at its rear with PDAF, OIS, and an f/2.0 lens, while the front houses an 8MP shooter. The handset will be available in Rose Gold, Silver, and Gray colors. The 4GB RAM/32GB storage variant of the handset has been priced at Rs. 22,999, while the 6GB RAM/64GB storage variant has been priced at Rs. 29,999. The handset goes on sale through Lemall.com and Flipkart.com from June 28th, with registrations for it beginning from June 20th.

The Le Max 2 is the first phone to launch in India with 6GB RAM. At its pricing, the handset gives a very stiff competition to the Xiaomi Mi 5, which is the only other phone available in India with a Snapdragon 820 chipset in the sub-30k range in India.
