OnePlus 7 leak

The OnePlus 7 might be a couple of months away from its official launch but thanks to @OnLeaks, we get to see the device in all its glory in high-resolution renders. The renders confirm that the OnePlus 7 will come with a pop-up selfie camera thereby switching to a bezel-less display at the front.

It will also sport a triple-camera setup at the rear, though the specs of the camera are not yet known. Apart from these two changes, the OnePlus 7 seems to have largely the same exterior design as its predecessor. The CAD renders on which the renders are based on also confirm the dimensions of the OnePlus 7 – 162.6 x 76 x 8.8mm.

The CAD renders also confirm that like the OnePlus 6T, the OnePlus 7 will also give the headphone jack a miss. It will also continue to feature an in-display optical fingerprint sensor. Despite the glass design, OnePlus has already confirmed that the OnePlus 7 will not come with wireless charging. It is likely the handset will instead launch with Warp Charge 30 which is 50 percent faster than the Dash Charge solution OnePlus has been using so far.

It is unclear if the OnePlus 7 will come with a bigger battery or not. It is, however, pretty much confirmed that it will come with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 chipset.

We have already seen the likes of Oppo and Vivo using a pop-up selfie camera solution on their phones. Given that OnePlus is owned by the same parent company, it is not surprising to see OnePlus adopt the same tech for its upcoming flagship. Despite the pop-up selfie camera, the OnePlus 7 will feature face unlock. The pop-up selfie camera will pop up every time one tries to unlock their phone.
