Huawei is on the way to announce a new smartphone, the P30, and the first renders of the unofficial handset have surfaced.

The new images come from @OnLeaks and 91mobiles. We get to see the handset from every angle, including the back and front of the device. We can see the small notch at the top of the screen, and around back there is the familiar vertically-oriented triple camera setup, with one sensor coming in at 40MP. (The front-facing camera is rumored to be 24 megapixels.) There isn’t a chin on the bottom of the display, something that’s all too common on other Android handsets, so that’s good news.

We can see the gradient color scheme for the P30, something that Huawei excels at. What’s more, we can’t see any signs of a fingerprint reader on the smartphone, especially not on the back. That would seem to indicate that Huawei plans on including an in-display fingerprint sensor in the P30, which should be a welcomed addition if that is indeed the case.

Rumor has it that the P30 is going to boast a 6-inch display with a resolution of 2340×1080. The handset will reportedly feature between 6GB and 8GB of RAM, and between 128GB and 256GB of built-in storage. A USB-C port is going to be present, along with a 3.5mm headphone jack. And the battery is said to measure in at 4000mAh.

We don’t know when Huawei plans on announcing the P30, or just how much it will cost when it becomes official. We will have to wait a bit longer to learn that info.

What do you think of the Huawei P30?
