HTC has started sending out invites for its “Double Exposure” event to be held in New York on October 8. The teaser image does not reveal anything about the event but does show two ladies using an HTC One M8 and probably taking a selfie. 

It is tough to tell if the event is for the new Nexus 9 tablet that HTC is working on with Google or for a new selfie focused phone from the Taiwanese OEM.

Earlier today, Nvidia confirmed the existence of the Nexus 9 in some legal documents. Rumors have indicated that Google will be unveiling a new Nexus tablet and handset sometime before October 9th next month and the timing of this event seems to fit right in with it.

It is also possible that HTC is holding the event to unveil some new handsets and perhaps its first wearable just in time for the holidays season.
