Earlier today, HTC announced the One mini, a smaller brother of the One. In its announcement, the company stated that while it wanted to price the One mini two notches below the One, it still wanted to main the same user experience. On the design and build quality front, the One mini is able to successfully deliver the same experience as its elder brother.
However, HTC has definitely made some compromises on the One Mini, especially with the internal hardware. While the One mini does not pack as much punch as the One, it sill packs in enough grunt to offer a smooth experience.

Dimensions wise, the One mini is a whopping 13% smaller and 17% lighter. While the battery capacity of the mini has been reduced significantly, it should offer similar battery life thanks to a smaller screen, and a less power hungry processor.
Performance wise, it is too early to say how the slower processor impacts the usability of the handset. However, early hands-on review suggests that the device does not suffer from any lags and manages to provide a stutter free experience just like its older brother.
The One mini is slated to be available in limited markets beginning from August this year.
