It is all but known that HTC is working on a mini variant of its current flagship handset – the HTC One. Leaked blurry cam pictures, rumors and other tidbits of leaked information suggest that the mini variant of the One will sport a 4.3-inch display, the same design as the One, and mid-range internals.

Earlier today, Bloomberg reported that the HTC One mini is expected to arrive by August. Now, the folks over at Engadget have got their hands on the One mini, thanks to their trusted source, and have uploaded the clearest shot of the device yet — for the world to see. In the picture, the One mini is put alongside its bigger brother – the One – which gives us an idea about the dimensions of the former.

Engadget reports that the One will include a 4.3-inch LCD display with presumably 720p resolution, a dual-core 1.4GHz Qualcomm processor, Beats Audio with “BoomSound” speakers, and the much praised – metallic unibody – of the One. In the front though, HTC has replaced the aluminium with plastic, presumably to save costs. This also leads to a reduction in weight. While the usual bunch of connectivity features will be present, HTC has ditched the IR blaster from the mini.

The mini One in picture is running on Android 4.2.2 with Sense 5, which includes BlinkFeed, Zoe and all other software whistles as seen on the One. HTC is expected to announce the One mini sometime later this fall.
