Did the Bluetooth SIG just confirm the existence of the upcoming Galaxy S4 Zoom?

You all know how Samsung works, they announce a flagship phone and then make a trillion variants of it to suit a particular market or hit a specific price point. Rumor has it that Samsung is going to make three variants of the GS4. There’s the GS4 Active, which is nothing more than a waterproof and dustproof GS4; there’s the GS4 Mini, which is a smaller GS4 that has mediocre specifications; and finally there’s the Galaxy S4 Zoom.

The Zoom is an interesting device since SamMobile claims it’ll have a 16 megapixel sensor, yet at the same time it’ll have a “tiny” 4.3 inch display that pushes 960 x 540 pixels. In other words, the S4 Zoom is basically a GS4 Mini, but with a much nicer shooter.

Now when SamMobile first leaked the existence of the GS4 Zoom, he said the model number would be SM-C101. Curiously, that exact same model number just showed up on the Bluetooth SIG’s website. Refresher: If you plan on making a device with Bluetooth capabilities, you need (should?) get it certified.

Putting two and two together, it looks like the GS4 Zoom does indeed exist, but I honestly can’t tell you when it’s going to come out or how much it’s going to cost. That’s the tricky part.
