Earlier today, LG inadvertently leaked details on a Google Play edition of its G Pad 8.3 tablet. Google followed this leak with an official confirmation that reveals the details on this tablet device. Google also used this occasion to announce the Play edition version of Sony’s Z ultra phone.

The Play Store version of the G Pad 8.3 matches the specs of the non-Google version. The tablet rocks an 8.3-inch 1920×1200 display, a 1.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon 600 chipset, 2GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal storage and 4,600 mAh battery. The Android tablet will retail for an affordable $349 and is available only in the US.

The Sony Ultra Z is an interesting little number that’s also US-only. It’s a tweaked version of the Xperia Z Ultra smartphone that ditches the Xperia branding and trades it in for a “Google Play Edition” moniker. The handset sports a 2.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, 6.4-inch 1080p display, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, LTE connectivity, and a waterproof design. It’ll cost $649 off contract and is available to ship in 1-2 business days.
