Samsung executives and multiple reports have claimed that there is a high consumer demand for the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge. One report from earlier this month claimed that Samsung has already received 20 million pre-orders for the Galaxy S6, while another claimed that Samsung has had to ramp up production because of the increased demand. 

Samsung’s Switzerland division has now revealed that the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge response has been through the roof, and the handsets have received four times more pre-orders than the Galaxy S5 in the same duration.

Dario Casari, Sales Director at Samsung Switzerland, said that the “great interest” from consumers in the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge confirm that the Korean company has launched “an innovative and high quality product which is ideally suited to the needs and expectations of the Swiss market.”

He also revealed that the new Galaxies will be making their way to Switzerland from April 10 in 32 and 64GB variants in White Pearl, Black Sapphire and Gold Platinium colors, while the Emerald Green and Blue Topaz colors will be available at a later date.
