The Snapdragon 820 and the Exynos 8890 variant of the Galaxy S7 have already made their way past AnTuTu, which revealed the complete specs of the handset. Now, the Exynos variant of the handset has popped up in Geekbench complete with its benchmark scores and specs.

In the benchmarks, the Exynos 8890 powered Galaxy S7 managed to score 1873 in the single-core test and 5946 in the multi-core test. For comparison, the iPhone 6s scores a staggering 2496 in the single-core test and 4346 in the multi-core test. The Galaxy S6 edge, which featured Samsung’s Exynos 7420 chipset, scored 1495 and 5375 in the single-core and multi-core benchmarks.

Samsung Galaxy S7 Geekbench score

The scores give us a good idea of how much of an improvement Samsung’s in-house CPU inside the Exynos 8890 chipset will be compared to its previous gen. Exynos chipset.

The Geekbench listing also confirms that the Galaxy S7 will indeed come with a 5.1-inch Quad HD display, a 12MP rear shooter, a 5MP front shooter and 4GB RAM. And if the model number (G930W8) of the Galaxy S7 that has passed through Geekbench is anything to go by, Samsung plans on launching the Exynos 8890 powered variant of the Galaxy S7 in Canada.

Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S7 at Mobile World Congress on February 21.
