ASUS is ready to launch its Zen Max Series of smartphones, which the company says will offer long-lasting, high-capacity batteries as the go-to feature.

And it is harkening the arrival of that new series of devices with the ZenFone Max Plus, which will arrive in North America in the early part of 2018. The company just announced the newest smartphone during CES 2018, in Las Vegas, Nevada, and rattled off the handset’s features and specs. Starting with the 5.7-inch 1080p HD display, which, like many other smartphones launched recently, boasts an 18:9 aspect ratio.

Meanwhile, under the hood, there is a MediaTek octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of built-in storage. Around back, there is a dual-camera setup, with the primary shooter being a 16MP camera, and the other being a wide-angle 8-megapixel shooter. Around front there is a 16-megapixel front-facing camera.

There is a fingerprint reader on the back of the phone, but ASUS has also included a Face Unlock feature built into the handset, which the company touts as being a proper alternative for easier access to the handset, especially in inclement weather.

The ZenFone Max Plus also features Android 7.0 Nougat with the company’s Zen UI 4.0 on top it. It will be available in North America beginning this February, and it will launch in two color variants: Deepsea Black and Azure Silver. When it launches, it will be priced at $229.
