Samsung y is the outlier among the mobile payment platforms for its ability to work with non-NFC terminals.

But to try it out you have to have a bank or credit card issuer that’s signed on as a partner. The list just got longer with Chase, the Navy Federal Credit Union, others coming aboard. To encourage more to try it out, Samsung is giving away a $100 gift card to spend at its online store if you active the service on a Galaxy S6, S6 ge, S6 ge+, or Note 5 by November 30.

However, you have a narrow window to spend that money. The $100 can only be used between Dec. 15 31.

Here’s the full list of new partners:

  • Chase (includes Chase Visa debit cards)
  • Citizens Equity First Credit Union
  • Navy Federal Credit Union
  • Rolph-Brooks Federal Credit Union
  • Security Service Federal Credit Union
  • SunTrust
  • State Employees’ Credit Union
  • Virginia Credit Union

The impact on you: Free stuff is always nice, so if you’ve yet to try out Samsung y now might be the right time. can’t promise that you won’t get funny looks from clerks when you perform this dark magic with your phone, but living in the future is often worth such sacrifices.
